2. Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted using Netlify. When you access the website, technically necessary connection data may be processed, such as your IP address, date and time of access, requested resource, browser or user-agent information and technical status information. This processing is necessary to deliver, operate and secure the website.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of this website). Technical log data is retained only for as long as required for operation, security and abuse prevention, subject to the hosting provider’s operational retention periods.
Netlify may process data outside the European Economic Area. According to Netlify’s privacy information, appropriate transfer mechanisms may include Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, other recognized safeguards.
3. Domain and DNS
The domain is administered using Cloudflare DNS services. DNS queries required to resolve the domain may therefore involve Cloudflare infrastructure. The website itself is hosted by Netlify; this privacy notice does not assume that all web traffic is proxied through Cloudflare.
4. Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website does not use analytics services, advertising pixels or marketing trackers and does not intentionally set tracking cookies. The language selection is handled locally from your browser language or through the selected URL; no persistent language profile is stored by this website.
5. Social-media and external links
Links to services such as Bluesky, X, YouTube, Spotify, Amazon and Apple Music are ordinary external links. Their icons are served locally from this website. No connection to those platforms is intentionally established merely by displaying the profile buttons. When you click an external link, the privacy rules of the destination provider apply.
6. Email contact
If you contact me by email, the information you send — such as your email address, name and message — is processed to answer your request. Depending on the context, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual communication, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other legitimate correspondence. Messages are deleted when they are no longer required, unless legal retention obligations apply.
7. Downloads
Files offered on this website, such as free printable PDFs or images, are delivered directly from the website. The same technically necessary server-log processing described above may occur when a file is downloaded.
8. Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.
9. Supervisory authority
For private-sector controllers based in Bavaria, the competent supervisory authority is generally the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
10. Changes
This privacy policy will be updated if the website begins to use additional services such as analytics, embedded media, forms, newsletters or advertising technologies.
